“You have to post videos of your training methods.”
When this statement was made to me, my immediate response was “Why?”
There are a fair number of reasons I might have conceded to, but this wasn’t one of them.
“It’s what every other trainer does.”
Well, now, that seems like the best reason not to, that I’ve ever heard.
In truth, I have considered the pros and cons of providing training videos on social media so that people can see a bit of what we do. But then I run across people ranting because “said videos” didn’t provide results.
They don’t want to pay for the “Instructional Video,” so they try to get what they need out of a “Promotional Snippet” and get mad when it doesn’t work.
I’ve seen some baking videos where people are mad because their cake didn’t come out. What happened is they didn’t see the lady adding eggs in the Promo, so they didn’t.
I know it might seem counter-intuitive, but I’m not the one to blame if you are a lazy tightwad.
“But Tarma, not everyone has extra money to spend on training.”
I know that, it’s why we have sponsorships, a money-back guarantee, and are so damn cheap to start with.
I once had someone tell me that if my training program actually worked, it would be more

expensive, back to my last article on things that cost more being inherently valuable. Well, I don’t want to be the “doodle” of training programs.
This isn’t my career; I have one of those. I do it because I love my dogs, and I love seeing people have successful relationships with their dogs.
And since the majority of our training program is geared to making a successful Shepherd,
I start giggling when I think about making videos, and I’m not sure FB would allow me to post them anyway.
