The List is Accurate

From the Vet's office of Tarma Shena

Every once in a while I get a giggle out of the human race, mostly they are just depressing, but once in a while they are entertaining and I have to give this lady credit for hanging in there with me.

I have been using the same veterinary office for a long time and I always request the same Vet for my dogs. We wait until she has an opening if it's just routine stuff. With the addition of another two legged puppy she has dropped to part time and I have had to do some trials and have a second vet in the office see my dogs on occasion.

But that's not what this is about.

I called to set up an appointment for Pyewacket's rabies and flea meds for the little dogs.

The receptionist I talked to was new and her first comment was "Let's get this list cleaned up so we just have your current dogs."

I responded politely, "I'm pretty sure that list is accurate."

Dead silence. 🤣 Sixty solid seconds of shock is what I got.

On a serious note I can tell someone I have fifty sheep or about thirty chickens and no body bats an eye.

But tell them how many dogs I have and it's shock, hoarding, and possible intervention needed.

Doesn't matter that four of them added together don't even make one actual dog. Unless we add Praxis, maybe she and the little guys might make one "dog".

I could literally hear the gears in this woman's brain slipping as she processed the information I had given her.

To her credit she took a deep breath and said, "You might have to help me through this until I get everybody straight."

No problem I chuckled, I try to combine appointments for dogs where I can fit more than one in the truck. I'm not sure what she thought of that or what she thinks I have for a vehicle because she said "most of our clients don't have that problem".

Well sweetheart, I'm sure you've noticed that I am not your typical client.

In any event, I have an appointment for next week, we'll see if she's still there by then. 🤣
